During R.E time I have learnt to define the meaning of conscience. I've also haved learnt how to grow in my conscience.

During maths time I have been learning how to share things equally between people, by including fractions to solve the problems.

Some friends were sharing food at a party.

This week I have learnt how to use tidy numbers to solve my subtraction and addition problems.

like example:

84+____?=104

6+10+4=20
84+20=104

MY HOLIDAYS...

During the Holiday my Auntie, my Nana, my little cousin and I visited my little baby cousin in hospital. She was sick. We visited her to see how she was doing.

We went and bought food. We arrived and asked the receptionist what room my little baby cousin was in. We found it. My Nana and aunty's were talking while I went to go and make them cup of coffee's and Milo. Then it was my turn to hold my little baby cousin. We sat down and watched TV. Soon or later the nurse came in and checked how she was doing. While the nurse checked her we all just sat there and ate lollies. A while later we had something to eat. Then it was time for us to leave.

On our arrival back home, we were quite tired that we just laid in bed watching TV and eating junk.

SWIMMING EXPERIENCE...

When I took my first step inside the pool, It felt a bit cold. I was so excited that I was jumping up down and swimming around. My highlight was when we got to play salmon Say's which was really awesome. Mr Bert told us to put our chin in the water and then we had to make bubbles. It was so funny that we all laughed. Then we had to get out of the pool. Once I got out, I said “OMG”, It was so cold that my arms were shaking and my legs had goose bumps every where. So I grabbed my towel and ran to the toilet and got changed as fast as I could. I really enjoyed swimming in the portable and I can’t wait to go back again.

SINKING N FLOATING!!!!

For our Topic we were learning about sinking and floating. We all had to write in our books what will float and what will sink. After that we had a test what was going to happen. We all gathered around and started to put the equipment inside the din to see what was going to happen. Then we all got our answers and went back to our book and wrote it down.

My thoughts about net book...

Net book...

You can also search the web on your net book. And its very useful to use. Like when your doing a presentation at school you can go on your Net book and go search for what ever you are searching for, instead of going to other people class room and asking ‘can I use your computer’ and waiting for your turn. That’s why t think its really awesome to have your own net book.


Some people think that the Net book is not a great tool for learning, but for me it’s a great way of learning. Its a very different way of learning, but its fun.

We get to do our work on line instead of writing all day. Plus we get to post our own writing on our own blogs, which every one can read and post nice comments about what you wrote about.

Its very awesome because you can go home and do your home work on Google docs, or on your computer. Instead of turning to school and telling your teacher you lost your book. That’s why its cool to have a net book, because you can write your work on it, and it will be saved.

If you don’t have a computer at home you can go to the library, staying after school or come early in the morning and do your home work. Plus your teacher can see what you have done on your Google docs, by going on her own computer.

MATARIKI...

Traditionally, depending on the visibility of Matariki, the coming season's crop was thought to be determined. The brighter the stars indicated the warmer the season would be and thus a more productive crop. It was also seen as an important time for family to gather and reflect on the past and the future.

My maths reflection

Maths reflection......

During maths I learnt better and faster strategies to solve problems for addition, subtraction and multiplication. For example: The question was, What is the answer to 9x6

* 9x6=
* 10x6=60
* 60-6=54


So the answer is 9x6=54

Now that I’ve learnt an easier way, hopefully I will move up a level. I love doing maths and I can’t wait to learn about more and more!

Holy Spirit

HOLY SPIRIT....

In room 7 I drew a title page of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the person in the Holy trinity. We believe there is only one God and that they Holy Spirit came as a symbol to the disciples. The goodness in us is really the Spirit in us. We decide when we want to do the right or do the wrong thing.

My retreat reflection.

At retreat we did lots of kinds of fun activities, at St Francis . It was really about leader ship and honour. My favorite activities was the treasure hunt, because we all had to get into groups and work as a team. Everyone on the team had to hold this long paper and if its rips then your disqualify and its show that you didn’t work as a team. My team quickly ran outside and we all walked holding the paper carefully. We found a clue and we all jumped up and down. But when we went and show brother Philip it was the wrong one. Because we had a pink paper and the one that we found it was a white one. So we keep on reading the paper over and over because it was telling us where the other clue was. When we saw st Francis Statute we saw a pink paper at the bottom. So we lifted up the statue and it was our second clue so we were very happy. The clue said look down the drive way and there are two tree that the same. So we went down together and started looking very carefully. We looked at all the tree but there was nothing. We went all the way down to the road. So we went up walking slowly and looking for the clue. I turned my head and I saw something pink. I went closer to it and it was the clue. So I screamed “ I found the clue I found it” Jump up and down with excitement. When we went up we saw one team already Finnish. But we still keep on going. Our clue said there are a young tree around west. So went went the way west looking at trees but we didn’t find anything. When We saw father Burnie we went to him and he gave us a clue. We looked at a small tree and the clue was sitting there, so I graped and we all read as a team. While we were still looking for the next clue we were all arguing. Next minute We riped half of the paper. We were all angry. But we didn’t give up just because it rip and even though we were disqualify. Finally we found our clue and it was leading us to our very last clue. We went at the back where the birds was and started looking every where. We all stood there and looked. I looked on top and there was the clue, on top of the birds house. We were all happy. we all ran and then there it goes the paper riped again. Our treasure was an telephone, we all stood there and started laughing.

This portrait is about me. As you can see half of my face is full of hearts all over, and it shows that I am a loving person. This also help people what I am like.

In Religious Education I learnt that one of the images of the Holy Spirit was a dove. A Dove symbolizes the Holy Spirit coming to Noah, after the flood.

Prayer to Jesus

Dear Jesus thank you for dieing on the cross for me and thank you for my family, friends and a lovely day. Thank you for sharing your virtue with me so I may be able to show them In my own way. Thank you for healing the sick and thank you for blessing the poor and the lonely people. Thank you Jesus for walking 14 steps with out complain and anger and may you forgive my bad sins that I have done. Amen!

THE DAY I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR!

On Monday every was very excited.Because we were finally going to get our net books. after morning tea we got it. Every one got more excited. When the teachers gave it out, we didn't get to open it.Soon We all open it together. Miss G told us to count down from ten and turn our net books on! How boring was that. But i just had to.10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1! we all clicked. Once it was on we played games. Every one was just having fun. It was very awesome playing games and going on cool things. Once the bell rang for lunch. We had to give it back. I really didn't want to give it back. But i just couldn't wait for the next day to use it!

ATHLETICS DAY!

On Friday the 18 of March was an exciting day at St. Pius X School. We had our school Athletics Day.

Every one changed to their House colors. When I got changed I painted my top, sprinkled glitter all over and put blue ribbons on my hair and on my legs. Blue is my house color.

The bell rang so, I rushed to the classroom pushing every one with out saying sorry and I grabbed Keas banners and got our chart and just rushed outside. Waterlily and I was the leaders for the Keas, so we were wearing straight blue. “Get up Keas”, we shouted. while we were walking to our tarpaulin we all screamed Go Keas.

When the five years old had run we took them to the start line. They were so nervous to run that they were biting their finger nails. When they had to run we all screamed our lungs out. When it was going by age it was almost my turn to run. When I was walking down to the start line I got very nervous. Once I saw my friends I ran to them and we all walked very slowly to the start line. BANG! It was time for all of to run. I ran as fast as I can, when I ran past my team I could hear my team screaming with excitement. Fetuli came first and Elizabeth came second and I came third. But then we had to run again with the other girls. I was so tired that I asked Jessie to jog with me. When we heard the two blocks bang again me and Jessie just ran slowly and took our time like nothing was happening how cool. Once we were almost at the end we sprint it. We both came last but we really didn't care. After that we all had other runs. But I didn’t run because I missed out, But I did save my energy for the relays and the 800m.

When we finally had lunch I was very happy. I ate an cream donut, chips and a crunchy apple, also a fizzy drink. Once lunch time was over we had our 800m. I jogged again but this time it was with Nia, We had to run around the field, not once but two time. we ran around the field once with no stopping but when we had to run again we power walked and ran, because our legs were just very tired of running. Once when we were finished I was very proud of myself because i did”t give up.

After that we had our relays. While it was going by class all we did was just scream our lungs out and cheering. Once my class room had to run we were all excited to bet the other teams. The first team we challenged was Geckos and we totally won. The next team we challenged was Tui’s and we lost but we had an awesome time challenging them.

Soon all of the team had to do their chart.

Geckos one was the best the other one we just didnt know what they were saying and my team screamed but then suddenly they were quit how embarrassing, so I just walked to the back of my team and hide there.

Soon Mr Coakley told who was the winner and it was Geckos. When he told us it was Geckos they stood up and they were jumping up and screaming. Then the second team was tui’s, and the third team was Kiwi’s and last team was my team, Keas. we were all sad but at less we had fun.

Then the bell rang for home time. So we all went to our class rooms and got our bags. Then I walked down to my ride very tired and then went home and told my mum all about it.
